Self-Determination Program

The Joy Connection welcomes individuals and families participating in California's Self-Determination

Program. Our programs provide inclusive, community-based opportunities designed to support meaningful

outcomes identified through the participant's Individual Program Plan (IPP).

California Self-Determination Program funds may be considered when a service is included in the

participant's individual budget/spending plan and supports identified IPP outcomes. Families should work

with their Regional Center team and Financial Management Service (FMS) regarding authorization and

payment

Families may contact The Joy Connection directly. We welcome collaboration with families, service

coordinators, and planning teams to describe program activities and explore whether participation may

support an individual's IPP goals.
